Defining moments are those points in our lives when we are urged to make pivotal decisions or when we experience something that changes us along our journey of life. Some of those moments came for me when I had to make hard decisions when my husband experienced cardiac arrest in our home on October 5, 2020. I have learned and I have seen God’s kindness and His unmerited favor. God gave me the grace to advocate on my husband’s behalf as I walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Through each day, each moment, every prayer I prayed, God performed miracle after miracle. Grace Through the Journey will take you through each defining moment and show that when we put our trust in God, knowing that His Grace is sufficient, He will see us through and help us endure the most difficult moments of our lives.

Tonya DePriest Mitchell was married to the late Rev. Dr. Marvin J. Mitchell in 1986.  They have two daughters, and two grandchildren.  She was ordained as the Executive Pastor of Solid Rock Christian Fellowship in 2005. She is a counselor at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond.  And she is the President and CEO of LiHeaPro (Life, Health, and Prosperity) Inc., a ministry dedicated to helping teen mothers become successful, strong, independent women capable of raising healthy, happy children.
